Mercies New This Morning
Because of the LORD's great love we are not consumed, for his compassions never fail. They are new every morning; great is your faithfulness.
Lamentations 3:22-23 (NIV)
Here is what is remarkable about where that verse sits. Lamentations is a book of grief — a man watching a city he loved come apart. He is not writing from a comfortable place. He writes great is your faithfulness with the smoke still rising.
Which means this is not a promise for the good weeks. It is a promise for the ones where last week did not go the way you needed it to.
Whatever Monday you are walking into — the deal that fell through, the conversation you handled badly, the week you finished behind — it does not get carried forward as a debt. Mercy does not accumulate interest. It resets.
You are not starting today from where you failed. You are starting from where grace is.

- Put Last Week Down Name what you are still carrying from last week, and leave it there.
- Start With One Choose the single most important thing and begin it before anything else.
- Extend It Forward Give someone else the fresh start you were just given.
Morning Prayer
Heavenly Father, thank You that Your mercy is new this morning and not rationed by my performance last week. Where I failed, restore me. Where I am discouraged, steady me. Let me walk into this week carrying Your grace instead of my regret. In Jesus' name, Amen.
